Weight loss treatments
Effectively manage weight loss: with the help of EGOS
At Clínica EGOS, we treat weight loss with effective medical and aesthetic solutions tailored to your needs. Our goal is to help you reach and maintain a healthy weight while prioritizing your overall well-being.
Our weight loss and obesity treatments
At Clínica EGOS, we have a multidisciplinary team made up of doctors, nutritionists-dietitians, and psychologists who will support you throughout the entire treatment process. With our help, you can lose excess weight and, more importantly, maintain your results—avoiding relapses while improving your health, eating habits, and lifestyle. If you also experience anxiety related eating behaviors such as binge eating, constant snacking, or nighttime eating—psychological intervention will focus on helping you gain self-control, eat only in response to physical hunger, and stop when it’s emotional hunger.
What is the best treatment to combat my excess weight?
At Clínica EGOS, we follow an approach tailored to each patient. For this reason, we always recommend a personalized assessment, as certain treatments are more suitable for specific cases than others. These are the ideal candidates for each type of surgery:
6-Month Gastric Balloon
The patient has a BMI between 29–35 and needs to lose approximately 14–16 kg of weight.
12-Month Gastric Balloon
The patient has a BMI between 35–40 and needs to lose approximately 25–35 kg of weight. The gastric balloon is recommended for patients with a BMI (Body Mass Index) over 35, and also for those with a BMI between 30 and 34.9 who face moderate health risks related to obesity.
Weight Loss with EndoSleeve (Endomanga)
This technique is indicated for patients with type I and II obesity, with a BMI between 30 and 40. Some patients with a BMI above 40 may also be candidates, but only after a personalized preliminary evaluation for each case.
Not all patients are eligible for bariatric surgery. Certain requirements must be met: age between 18 and 65 (other ages to be evaluated), having morbid obesity (BMI > 40) or second-degree obesity (BMI > 35) with significant associated medical conditions
Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric surgery is indicated for individuals with morbid obesity or obesity with medical comorbidities. This type of procedure is designed to reduce the patient’s stomach size in order to achieve significant weight loss. If you are considering this kind of intervention, we will explain all the details about the surgery.
