Scar revision

The pathological scarring tends to manifest itself in two ways: keloid or hypertrophic.
Review of a scar is a procedure performed on a scar to alter its appearance. The review may improve the appearance of the scar or restore function of a part of the body that may have been restricted by the scar. It is important to remember that the scars cannot be eliminated completely.
It is only indicated surgery to hide or reduce scars by improving its appearance.

Description of the technique

It is usually performed under local anesthesia. It consists of mixture of procedures that often coincide in resection of previous SCAR and suture without tension.
